Celebrate with us as we proudly announce a historic achievement for our beloved homeland, Oman. At the prestigious Gulf hackathon 2023 held in Qatar, our flagship project ‘Vega’ achieved a resounding success, achieving first place at the Gulf level, specifically in the agricultural technology category.
The Vega project represents a quantum leap in the field of innovation, with a main focus on the early detection of the red palm weevil. The essence of this pioneering initiative is the development of a drone equipped with a sophisticated artificial intelligence system. This state-of-the-art technology enables the aircraft to accurately monitor subtle changes in palm trees, which makes it possible to accurately identify the early stages of infection with the red palm weevil. This precision enables rapid and effective intervention, representing a cost-effective and highly efficient solution to protect palm crops and promote sustainable agriculture.
